The following positions are open for immediate fill. 


 


-  Warehouse Assistant


-  Grinding/Compound Machine Operator


-  Machine Operator


 


We are seeking candidates for a well-established company in the Conover, NC area that are looking to fill these positions. Depending on the position, the schedule will be either Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm with possible O/T on alternating Saturdays, day shift 2/2/3 schedule, or night shift 2/2/3 schedule.  


 


These positions start out between $16.00 to $18.00+ depending on experience and position.


Required Qualifications :

Warehouse Assistant




General Safety Functions
• Safety Gate or Chains in place on all Dock Doors
• Trailer Chocks (2) are available at each Dock Door and in place on trailers
• Forklift Safety Checks for warehouse, materials, and NGR are completed daily




Quality Functions
• LABELS - Ensure that the labels printed matches the spools that were produced (work with Coordinator Assistant)
• Supply needed paperwork for shipping
• Arrange all dock appointments for outgoing/Incoming
• Invoice all outgoing shipments daily
• Receive all incoming materials




Environmental Functions
• Always maintain cleanliness of warehouse
• Ensure all storage areas are kept neat and orderly (areas around dock doors, pallets, foam, etc - not caps)
• Ensure materials area is kept neat and orderly according to the standards set forth
• 6-S/Shadow Boards are being utilized and in place, ex. Taped areas/chains are in good repair
• Ensure the Shipping Parking Lot remains clean and free of debris/trash (includes dumpster area)



Production Functions
• Communication boards to be maintained and updated on the daily basis
• Assist Warehouse/Materials with loading and unloading (this may include assisting with weighing materials, labeling materials, etc
• Pull Kan Ban cards and give to Purchasing Department every Tuesday
• Stock all raw material shelves as needed
• Cycle Counts of Inventory
• Monthly Inventory Count (1st of every month)


 


Grinding/Compound Machine Operator




General Job Functions
• Responsible for operating the Next Generation Recycling machine (NGR)
• Responsible for identifying defects in material and remove prior feeding of the machine
• Must possess the mechanical ability to troubleshoot, perform minor maintenance and ability to work independently with little supervision
• Must understand the functions, settings, and mechanics of the machine
• Read and comprehend work instructions
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Ability to analyze control screen data and make improvements and adjustments based on readings
• Capable of changing screens and blades



Physical Demands / Requirements
• Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift-up- to a maximum of 50 lbs. safely
• Noise level in materials area at times can be loud
• Must be willing and able to abide by all safety policies
• Day or night shift; rotating 12-hour shifts, resulting in 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next week; every other weekend. Work is required on most holidays
• Non-climate-controlled plant environment; standard hazards within a manufacturing plant where safety precautions and personal protective equipment must be maintained at-all times
• 1-3 years of experience, injection molding experience a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Written and oral communications


 


Machine Operator




General Job Functions
• Advanced knowledge of machine operations
• Working knowledge of ALL machines including but not limited to; starts, stops, cooling water controls, adding blow agent
• Reads work order and specifications to determine job specifications such as type and quantity of spools, pallet types, stacking patterns and others
• Deposits materials into bins manually or using hoist
• Enters commands to retrieve and activate preprogrammed instructions from computer
• Performs prescribed quality control inspections
• Troubleshoot and diagnose minor machine and robot operational problems
• Responds appropriately to machine alarms
• Makes process adjustments to improve cycle time, product quality, heat adjustments; rehome robot when needed
• Observes robotic operation, and monitors machine controller for malfunctions and error messages
• Notifies supervisor and/or other designee of programming or operating problems, when needed
• Effectively stacks, wraps and labels finished goods according to specifications
• Maintains cleanliness and organization within prescribed areas
• May perform simple machine maintenance, such as cleaning or changing injection and vacuum filters
• May assist or perform testing procedures for changes to materials and finished goods
• Be a good example to co-workers, regarding work ethic, teamwork, attendance, safety, quality
• Attends and participates in the morning meetings with employees at shift change
• May be required to become certified and operate a variety of forklifts
