$60k DOE • Mon-Fri • Banner Elk, NC

Seeking a skilled Controller to oversee our financial operations, supporting organizational goals under the direction of the company President and General Manager. This vital role ensures the company's financial, accounting, compliance, employee, and office needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Financial Management:

Conduct month and year-end reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.

Restate and reconcile income statements departmentally.

Calculate various incentive-based managerial reports.

Generate monthly performance reports.

Payroll Processing:

Reconcile weekly timesheets and paid time off balances.

Process payroll journal entries.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Manage invoice processing and weekly check runs.

Post customer payments and handle daily deposits.

Inventory Oversight:

Monitor and reconcile monthly inventory transactions and levels.

Tax Compliance:

Calculate and remit NC sales tax by county.

Human Resources Support:

Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and benefits coordination.

Required Qualifications :

A keen eye for detail and high level of conscientiousness.

Positive attitude with a service-oriented mindset.

Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel.

Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role with similar responsibilities.

Previous experience with payroll processing preferred.

2-year or 4-year degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
